I had a trigger thumb release 2 days ago, and I started to itch as the numbness wore off. All day yesterday my entire hand and part of my arm were burning and itching. Today the itching has intensified. Could this be an allergic reaction to Novacaine?

My 85-year-0ld mother had a cancerous lesion removed from her face on October 1st, with large doses of Novocaine injected to deaden the area. The next day she got so dizzy she fell over, along with being nauseated. The doctors have checked her heart function and all that is normal. Now, more than two months later, she is still dizzy and feels like passing out when she gets up. Any ideas?
